About Me

My photo
Hi! My name is Brittany. Welcome to my little blog. I am a 23 year old mom, military wife, & optimist. My husband is Justin, and he is in the USCG. We have the sweetest baby boy named Grayson. I enjoy the finer things in life.. such as a $6 bottle of wine and bad reality T.V. Quite frankly, life is good.

Support.

Things are happening fast, but in such an exciting way. I told my sister and my mom the other night. My sister and I didn't even make it to our table at Don Pablo's before she cornered me with the usual "I want another baby, unless you have one anytime in the near future." I responded with "Like on or around September 27th?" She laughed and said something along the lines of stop playing. At that point I started to shake and said I was serious. She still didn't believe me. I showed her a picture of the tests, and I will never forget the look on her face. She exclaimed, "Are you really pregnant?!" and began to cry. Smile, and cry. We hugged, and it was awesome. So, basically, there we were. Two sisters crying and hugging in the Don Pablo's lobby. People were probably staring, but I didn't care to notice. I was just so happy that she was happy. Speaking of, I could really go for some sopapillas right now.

We told my mom as I dropped Maddi and Wyatt off that night. After building up the courage, and repeating how nervous I was the whole way home, the woman was sleeping! So, we had to sit there on the bed bugging her until she woke up. I mean, I didn't sit there being nervous all night to have to repeat it another day! Eventually, she woke up. While she was repeatedly saying "hi!" to Wyatt as I held him, my sister told her I was eating like a pregnant lady at the restaurant. I then mentioned it was almost like I was eating for two. My sister promptly followed with, "Can you imagine what Sissy would look like pregnant?!" I stated that I would probably look a lot like I looked at that moment. She ignored it. "Hi! Hi Wyatt! Hi! Hi!" My sister asked if she had even heard us. We repeated the last part of our little bit. She said, "With a baby in your lap? Yeah, right!" We then tried to tell her I was being serious. She just kept talking to the little man, thinking nothing of it. I guess that is what I get for always trying to trick my mom into believing stuff. The girl who cried pregnant. Haha. As my sister ran downstairs to get the same picture I had showed her, I began crying and shaking and my mom realized I was being serious. "Wait, are you really pregnant?!" She began crying and hugged me. I was scared at first. I don't know why, but for some reason I just thought she would be upset. I was wrong. She was so happy!!! It was incredibly relieving, and I was just so excited to get that kind of support from two of the people that mean the most to me. We talked for a bit, she cried some more, and touched my non existent baby belly before I left.

The day after, I told Amy, Dana, and Ashleigh. A couple of nights ago I told Jamie. Justin told his friends at work. Tonight, I tell my dad and brother. Tomorrow, Justin tells his parents. Our first prenatal appointment is in a couple of weeks. We've begun our pre-wedding wedding plans. Things are moving so fast. It's scary, but not in a bad way. Btw, I am aware that probably doesn't make sense to anyone not in my position. It really is all very exciting though. Anyway, all of my friends and family I've told so far were SO excited and supportive. I cannot even begin to explain how happy it makes me to be surrounded by such loving, and supportive people. Through all the craziness, all of them keep me sane. The support of my friends, family, and Justin, is more than I ever could have hoped for.

With love,

Brittany Danielle
