About Me

My photo
Hi! My name is Brittany. Welcome to my little blog. I am a 23 year old mom, military wife, & optimist. My husband is Justin, and he is in the USCG. We have the sweetest baby boy named Grayson. I enjoy the finer things in life.. such as a $6 bottle of wine and bad reality T.V. Quite frankly, life is good.

Seven Weeks.

So, apparently I am making a habit of writing these entries through the week, and posting them on like the last day. So, this was written over my 7th week of pregnancy!!!! Week 8 begins tomorrow. EEK!

My little baby is the size of a blueberry!! A BLUEBERRY! That seems sooo big for some reason. It's just so strange how this little baby has gone from microscopic, to something totally visible to the naked eye. (Well, if the naked eye could see inside of my body. You get the point.) Little hands and feet are developing on his/her still developing little legs! In no time, my baby will be dancing around my womb, throwing out jazz hands and all. But, for now, those little hands and feet look more like tiny paddles. I think the most exciting thing about 7 weeks is that his/her brain is developing at a super fast pace! 100 cells per minute, to be exact. I'm sure our little one is developing even more though. I mean, our little blueberry is SURE to be a baby genius. He/she does have Daddy's Mommy's genes, after all.

Mama is definitely starting to feel some more symptoms kick in. I threw up for the first time the other morning. Yuck! I haven't again, but I have definitely felt like it. I get nauseous a lot. I have learned, though, throw my sister and the suggestions of friends, to constantly keep my belly full. My little one gets very angry when he/she is not fed apparently, and that's what makes me feel sick. When I start to get that queasy feeling, I just snack on something. It usually helps. This pretty much means I am eating constantly. But hey, that's much better than throwing up constantly! Other than, I have just been exhausted. Even when I get plenty of sleep, I am just so tired all day. For once, I am falling asleep before Justin. Insanity.

I should probably mention my moodiness as well. I asked Justin if I had had been moody at all. He pointed out some stupid stuff I had gotten angry over. Such as flippin' out over there being a wait at Olive Garden, and some other ridiculous things that usually wouldn't phase me. He then pointed out that, while making french toast last week, I dropped a piece on the floor. That triggered a full on melt down, of course. I cried so so hard. Pretty funny looking back, but yall don't understand! That was the most perfectly golden brown piece. It was a tragic morning in our household. Fast forward to Valentine's Day, yesterday. We went to see The Vow. I thought it was so good! Plus, it stars my favorite, Rachel McAdams, and eye candy Channing Tatum. Anywho, I didn't even make it to the movie before crying! A Titanic 3D preview came on, and I was all tears. Oh, the joys of being pregnant.:) At least I can laugh about my silly emotions later!!

Another amazing thing happened on Valentine's day. WE GOT OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE! So very exciting. I just can't wait for it to be signed and finally be married. Justin is everything I could ever ask for, and I just can't wait to be his Mrs. I also can't wait to see him as a dad! He's already so sweet, always rubbing my belly and talking about how excited he is. I really lucked out with this one. &This little one. I just love my fiance, and our little tiny blueberry to bits and pieces. :)

With love,
Brittany Danielle
